Privacy Policy

The Short Version

Your terminal sessions flow through an encrypted tunnel directly between your browser and your machine. We don't see, store, or log what you do in your terminal. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service and process payments.

What We Collect

Account Information

• Email address — used for authentication (Cloudflare Access), purchase receipts, and support.
• Name — as provided during checkout.
• Username — your chosen subdomain (e.g., you.terminalanywhere.com).

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your name, email, and order details. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or billing address. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.

Website Analytics

We collect basic, anonymous analytics on our marketing site (page views, referrer, country, device type). This data is stored in our own database — we do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking scripts. No cookies are used for tracking.

What We Don't Collect

• Terminal session content — your commands, output, and files are encrypted end-to-end via Cloudflare's tunnel. We cannot access them.
• Browsing history — we don't track which pages you visit after leaving our site.
• IP addresses — we don't log the IP you connect from.

Infrastructure & Third Parties

We use the following services to operate Terminal Anywhere:

• Cloudflare — tunnel infrastructure, DNS, and Zero Trust access control. Cloudflare processes connection metadata to route your tunnel. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — transactional emails (welcome email, support). See Resend's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage & Security

Account data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We follow security best practices and limit access to customer data to essential operations only.

Data Retention

• Active accounts: Data is retained for the duration of your subscription.
• Cancelled accounts: Account data is deleted within 30 days of cancellation. Cloudflare tunnel, DNS, and access resources are deprovisioned immediately.
• Analytics: Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to update incorrect information.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your data (we will also deprovision your tunnel).
• Portability — request your data in a standard format.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. The latest version is always available at this URL.
